Finally did it, finally made a home for this story in the
form of this blog. For those who stumbled upon this welcome, and sorry I have
no content up just yet. I plan to go over the first section one last time to
look for errors in grammar and syntax (and hopefully catch most of them) before
submitting it.
However I would like to set some expectations for those of
you out there about my writing. I am not the best user of written English, I am
actually not even that good in my opinion. As such if you are expecting novel
level writing I apologize in advance. I am definitely not going to be writing
at A Game of Thrones level right now. I do proof read, revise, proof read,
revise, and so on several times before submitting each part of the story.
However I have a limit before it becomes a chore, and drains my enthusiasm for
the project.
I have a full time job, family, and other hobbies. As such
the goal right now will be to add a piece of the story once every two weeks. I plan
to add little informational entries in between story parts keep some interest
up. On the subject of entries… do not expect me to go over these with a fine
tooth comb for grammar and English. I will do my best to make them tolerable,
but they will be written quickly and help develop the world/races that will be
in the story. Think of them as my rambling on about some ideas. Plan is to make
the story able to tell about these things itself, but will take a while to
fully explain within the context of the story itself. Also could use this to
quickly throw in details that would be considered unimportant to the overall
story, and thus were not included.
These entries can be influenced by those of you reading
this blog. If you want to ask any questions about a specific race, organization,
character, technology, or even my thoughts/inspirations/ideas behind some of
the story. I will use entries to expand on answers if any questions come up,
and I welcome input on what to write in these entries.
For the first bit on the story here are a few races that I
have created that will make early appearances (well one will be mentioned but
not appear until later) in the story:
Terrans (AKA humans… in this story I am calling them Terrans
and Terra is Earth)
Faelin
Miztan (or Eurans as Terrans will call them)
Ascendants
There will be more to come, but not going to really mention
them until they are closer to appearing.
